LEARN - GROW - LEAD

The Cornerstone Internship Program is designed to empower you to learn, grow, and lead in all the ways God has called you to.

Overview

Come be a part of the Cornerstone team through an extensive internship program. Here you will learn about ministry through:
- Hands on learning
- Classroom based lectures from on-the-ground
- pastors at Cornerstone
- Group-think environments

At Cornerstones internship program you will have to option to choose your area of learning track and you will also be a part of a larger internship cohort weekly.

Internships are for 20 hours per week with a mandatory cohort for 2 hours one time per week, typically on Monday afternoons. All other days/hours are determined by the track supervisor/department.

If you are feeling led to be in ministry, would like to build your resume, and/or are looking for hands-on ministry experience, this opportunity is for you.

Tracks

In CSI, each intern will be placed into a specific ministry track. Tracks are determined in collaboration with the program director based on personal calling, experience, and interest. Each track provides interns with hands-on training and leadership opportunities in a specific ministry area. Track Staff Coaches will function as mentors for each intern through the duration of the Internship.

Details

An ideal candidate would be a man or woman who feels that God is leading them into full-time ministry. An individual pursuing a ministry or seminary degree is ideal, but not a requirement. This person would also have prior ministry experience in their desired track. We highly value individuals who are self-starters, quick learners, love a challenge, have a heart to serve, a positive attitude, flexibility, a sense of humor and an ability to work within a team environment.

PROGRAM BREAKDOWN:

Milestones are department-defined, development-focused semester achievements (i.e. projects, assignments, etc.) with due dates.

Every ministry has a “game day" that interns will help plan and execute (i.e weekend services, midweek services, etc).

Office tasks are weekly responsibilities designed to show interns what day-to-day ministry looks like in that department.

All interns come together on Mondays mornings from 2:00PM - 4:00PM for leadership development and ministry training. You will hear from our Senior Pastor, staff members, and guests speakers covering a range of topics.

Each semester interns read two books and write a one-page book review on both books.

One-on-ones are an opportunity for interns to meet with spiritual mentors throughout the semester.

FAQS

Interns must provide their own transportation. There is no intern housing, however, if housing is needed, we will assist in the process of finding host families from within the church.

Interns are given a $500/month stipend while they experience ministry and leadership at Cornerstone. Single residents also have the opportunity to stay in a host home, based on availability and host home approval.

You can, but CSI will be a significant commitment that will require time, energy, and attention. It’s possible to engage both CSI and graduate school, but if the schedules for CSI and your graduate program are incompatible, you will need to choose one or the other.
