DIRECTOR OF GUEST SERVICES

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Director of Guest Services is responsible for providing leadership and development of Guest Services Coordinators and volunteers of the following ministry areas:  Worship Center, Ushers, Shuttle, Parking Team, Coffee Team, Communion, Patio, Alternative Seating and Ball Pit.

 

They should lead by example and cultivate a positive spirit throughout the church family.  They should represent Christ and His church well in the community at large.  They should be a team player and follow the biblical model of sacrifice by being willing to put the needs of others in front of their own.  In all of their actions, they should be positive and supportive of the Core Values and the Vision of our church.

This is a part-time position of 24 hours a week (including 6 hours on Sunday).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the “Street to Seat”:  Parking, Shuttles, Patio, Coffee ministry, Ball Pit, Ushers, Communion and Alternative seating

 

  • For our guest - We prepare environments and remove obstacles to create a positive and great “first impression” of Cornerstone. This experience should begin from the time they drive onto our property until they are seated in our auditorium.
  • For our volunteers - Create an atmosphere where the volunteers enjoy serving because they know they are appreciated and that they are making an impact for the kingdom.

 

Responsibility for Guest Services Coordinators:  Provide Leadership, training, development of better processes and systems and assist in casting vision.  Prepare annual budgets along with the Coordinators to meet the needs of their ministry and leadership roles. Conduct reviews on a regular basis as needed for position.  Provide all necessary resources for them to fulfill and lead in their role according to our Guest Services Values. Regularly show appreciation and provide clear communication.

 

Role Model in Personal Life:

  • Model the qualifications of an elder (1 Tim 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4).
  • Model biblical community in his relationships (Matt 5:23-24, Matt 18:15-17, Eph 4:25-32).
  • Model biblical family life before the body (Eph 5:22-6:4).
  • Model biblical integrity in all things (1 Tim 6:11-12).
