Unwritten stories begin in the tiniest details. We see it here at Cornerstone all the time: from a friend’s invitation, to a warm welcome, to a song or phrase or moment that God uses in powerful ways - lives are changed in big ways, through small details.

This is why we’ve been celebrating EVERY step of the journey of our Unwritten building project - even the smallest details! This month, we have seen decking added to the roof, studs placed in the walls, and even some new walls being raised. While they may seem like small things, we are reminded that the foundations of our future home and being built to last. Because this place will hold stories of lives being changed, and every chapter gets closer to being written with every step of the process we’ve witnessed.

We are excited to share this month that in our new children's building, we will have a custom curriculum designed JUST for our kids! The team is currently meeting and crafting every detail of the story and design that will have you children wanting to come back for more and more.

Our new Kids curriculum is another MASSIVE reason to be excited about what’s ahead for Cornerstone’s new home. We’ll be introducing Adventure Port: a dynamic weekend ministry experience, designed specifically for children from Pre-K through 4th grade. It opens the imagination through an immersive experience that has a blend of history and exploration. Step into Adventure Port and you’re transformed into an archaeologist! Be transported into investigating the ancient ruins, discovering the Bible through the lens of captivating exploration. Or step into The Lab, a state-of-the-art environment that symbolizes modernity’s role in preserving the past. Adventure Port is more than a physical space - it’s enriched by a vibrant cast of characters like the tech-savvy Alex, curious Sofia, the playful monkey Mango and the problem-solving robot Byte! These characters aren’t just for entertainment; they serve as spiritual guides, teaching kids about faith, their role in God’s grand narrative, and the Bible’s teachings. This new curriculum is an exciting way to bring engaging storytelling and a unique learning environment to children, making God’s Word an UNFORGETTABLE adventure. All of this is possible through your giving to the building campaign!

• Pray for our building team and construction teams, that they would continue with safety and protection, as they help raise up our new home
• Pray for God to spur more monthly recurring givers so we can continue to pick up speed with the opening of this building and the repairs/renovations to the rest of the church
• Pray for our kids! The future generation of believers will be incredibly impacted by the work God has for this new space - we believe and speak it over our amazing Cornerstone kids!

Since our last update, we have celebrated Christmas together, and witnessed God move in incredible ways through our church. Over 380 people said YES to God, and we welcomed over 12,000 people to our 10 services. We also experienced amazing generosity through the success of our year end giving campaign, and we are SO proud of how our church stepped up! We are on track to continue progress, and we see God’s work all over this new building project. We also have another draft of renderings for the final look to share with you as we look forward to seeing our new home! Here are some ways we can be praying together in the weeks ahead.

• Continued swift and safe work, as well as protection over everyone involved
• Continued recurring giving so we can stay on course to finish the building in the next year
• Continued overflow of God’s work into our community - leading people to Jesus in our limited spaces

As we approach the end of 2023, we’re reflecting in amazement of all God has done this year. We are so grateful God has used our church powerfully - changing lives, healing hearts and bringing people from all walks of life closer to Him, more than we could have ever asked, seemed or imagined. And we are grateful for YOU - our Cornerstone family - for how you’ve served, given and worshipped with us all along the way!

But as we look back on an incredible time, we look forward to the future.

We are closing out 2023 by celebrating Christmas! Christmas at Cornerstone is sure a powerful experience - joining together to worship in community and celebrate the birth of Jesus. We can’t wait to see each and every one of you, along with so many new faces, and we’ll even experience some Arizona snow together! A Christmas miracle to cap off an incredible year!

Our End of Year Giving campaign is also in full swing! We are asking God boldly to continue moving through Cornerstone, and we KNOW He will! And we are asking each other boldly to see what God might be putting on your heart to give toward the building campaign.

Our building campaign has a heartbeat: it’s that tomorrow’s stories are written TODAY. Cornerstone is growing rapidly - and we need more room so we can welcome more people in to share the love and truth of Jesus to the greater Phoenix area! Right now, we get to join the story God is writing for the future of His church - together.

2023’s chapter is coming to a close, and we are in awe of such an incredible year for our church.

But we turn the page - and we look toward the unwritten story of 2024.

What a journey we've been on together since our last construction update! Your incredible generosity has been the driving force behind the progress we're witnessing onsite. Our construction crew has been putting in some serious elbow grease, and we're thrilled to share that we should be getting steel for the building soon, which means we should get some walls UP in the next few months. This is a monumental step as we start building upward and gearing up for the exciting phases ahead!

But that's not all—here are some more heartwarming updates that make us grateful for the incredible community we have seen God move in amazing ways this fall.

From our largest Harvest Fest to numerous care groups and Bible studies caring for the well-being spiritually and personally of our church and community. In this month we had over 20 adults, 27 students, and over 15 kids DECLARE that Jesus is their Lord and Savior through baptism in our weekend services across both campuses. God is on the move and we're grateful to pause and say "Thank You" to Him and to you our incredible church family.

Now, let's talk about the heart of it all—your generosity. To every donor, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for submitting to God's call to support His church financially. Your hard-earned donations are not taken lightly, and we thank you for entrusting our church with your contributions.

As we head into Thanksgiving, we want to update you on the construction front:

Hey Cornerstone!

From our last construction update till now so much has taken place onsite! Your continued generosity is the fuel that enables us to have the type of impact we are experiencing. You should know that our construction crew has been hard at work and recently poured the footers to the new kids building. This means we can start working our way up, putting walls into place, and then things will really start moving!

Here are a few other exciting updates.

1. We had 10,653 people come to our Chandler campus for this year’s Harvest Festival. This gift to our community was a huge success and we're so grateful for our church family that stepped up and served this greater Chandler area with a free night of family fun.

2. The day following Harvest Fest, we saw new families come back to church and bring their toddler - 12th graders for the most fun day ever! From tons of inflatable games, bounce houses, princesses, superheroes, bubbles, to the incredible Kidz Blitz show, our kids had a BLAST. Thank you for being such a giving church so we can try big things and create huge events to help the next generation meet Jesus.

3. Then the Kidz Blitz team came back to KaBoom on Tuesday night! Between Sunday services and KaBoom on Tuesday, we saw over 90 kids pray and ask Jesus into their hearts. That’s 90 lives, families, and stories that are changed forever.

Hello Cornerstone Community!

We are absolutely thrilled to share some wonderful news with you all: We've secured the permit! God answered our prayers and it is truly a testament to the power of prayer, and we're deeply grateful God's hand in this and your support. With the permit in hand, our construction team can now go ahead with our exciting building project. You'll notice more equipment on our campus as we progress.

God is on the move and so is our construction team!

The future of our church shines brighter than ever, and our upcoming CS Kids building is a pivotal part of that vision. It will bring space our church desperately needs to meet the needs of discipleship gatherings our church family and community are seeking. Welcome back to our Unwritten Building Campaign update! This past month, we have been eagerly waiting for the city to approve our permits so we can continue progress. Our permits sit with the city of Chandler, and we hope to see God's favor in getting those approved.

In the past month, we have witnessed endless confirmation in this waiting time that our church needs more space in almost every venue. We've had tons of ministries launching for the fall season, and we've seen continued record-breaking numbers in our kids, youth, and adult grow venues.

We had an unforgettable ground-breaking ceremony at Adventure Port Kids' Building. With snow cone refreshments, prayer jars, and a tractor, the event was filled with excitement and anticipation. It marked the beginning of an exciting journey to create a space where children's imaginations will flourish while growing in their faith. Stay tuned for updates on our progress!

Storyland Studios is a team of specialists, artists, architects, and problem solvers who believe in the transformative power of storytelling. They create immersive environments that inspire and uplift. They’ve worked on projects with renowned brands such as Legoland, Sega, Marvel, Mattel, LucasFilm, SeaLife Aquarium and so much more!

• May construction progress and timelines be favored and accelerated.
• May the new building be abundantly utilized to reach the next generation beyond our imagination.
• May generous giving pour in for this campaign, enabling us to pursue ambitious dreams for God's kingdom with wisdom for our church.

• Subfloor Plumbing: We installed the plumbing for the subfloor back in 2017, so we're in a great position starting this build again!
• Electrical Installations: The pre-build electrical work has been completed.
• Steel Acquisition: In 2017, we purchased 70% of the required steel for this project, which turned out to be a great investment considering the current higher steel prices.
• Exterior Design Renderings: Our team is in the final stages of completing the renderings for the exterior design. These visuals will bring our vision to life, showcasing the unique style and architectural features of the building. Those pictures are coming soon!
• Interior Design Notes: We have an amazing interior design company that has been involved in some massive projects. We will provide more details in our next update!

Join us after a service the weekend of July 22 & 23 to celebrate this milestone for our church.

• We've made significant progress in obtaining the necessary permits for construction.
• Our team is working closely with partners to ensure that all approvals and paperwork are in place before breaking ground.
• The engineering plans for our two large meeting rooms and 16 classrooms are currently in progress.
• While plans are tentative, we're hoping to break ground in the coming months and are committed to moving forward with the project.
